Hi everyone!

This month’s community blog is slightly later than usual — August has been a bountiful month for us, and at the same time, big news is coming up for September!

Green Again: Gamescom and Wishlist Milestone

Last month, Green Again had the opportunity to exhibit at Gamescom alongside all the amazing games at Indie Arena Booth. We joined up with Green Again’s solo developer Máté and had a great time meeting everyone. It’s a pleasure to see how many gamers love the Sproutlings and our laid-back colony sim, and we’ve received a lot of helpful feedback from them. Here are a few pictures from the event!

August also saw another major achievement of the Sproutlings: Green Again has reached 20,000 wishlists! This is a major milestone for our indie title, and we cannot thank our community enough for helping us get there. Máté has been working on the game since Gamescom, with a new patch just released recently. Please look forward to more news from Green Again!

Primordial Empire: Wildlife Update

Primordial Empire, our microscopic colony builder, just got a new update. Players can now find neutral wildlife in the demo, with a new befriending mechanic that allows you to incorporate them into your colony. Each of the new species has its own habits and abilities, and can provide a variety of bonuses to your microscopic empire. Here’s a guide video in which Primordial Empire’s solo developer Marc talks about the befriending mechanic in detail, and you can find the full changelog here.

Tokyo Game Show

Japan here we come! Slug Disco is bringing our publishing line-up to Tokyo Game Show 2025! This year we have 2 separate booths: Main publisher booth at Hall 11-E32 (indie games area) and The Ember Guardian at E-47 of the Selected Indies 80 area. We will be showcasing our latest demos in this massive gaming event, and you might even find event-exclusive previews for some of our titles!

With Tokyo Game Show around the corner, things are looking very exciting for us in September. We can’t wait to meet everyone in Japan! And if you can’t be there, we’ll be posting updates on our Twitter and YouTube so be sure to follow us and catch up!
