Welcome back to our monthly blog post. This month, another promising upcoming title has joined our ranks, with exciting updates to our other publishing projects as well. Shall we dive in?

The Ember Guardian

We are thrilled to announce that we have partnered with Ratbit Games to publish The Ember Guardian. Inspired by the classic strategy title Kingdom, The Ember Guardian brings a unique twist to the familiar sidescroll strategy experience by combining it with engaging gunplay. Set in a post-apocalyptic world, the player must recruit an army and build defences during the day to fend off attacks at night. Explore the wasteland with your dog and collect resources to upgrade your buildings and weapons. Can you protect the embers of hope from the encroaching darkness? Try the demo now and add The Ember Guardian to your wishlists!

Ant Con 2025

Thanks to the invitation from Ant Antiques, two of our Slugs were at Carmarthen’s Ant Con this year to showcase Empires of the Undergrowth and the Exploding Ants DLC. We had a great time speaking to all the ant enthusiasts (many of them fans of our game!) and listening to their feedback and suggestions. Jack, our character artist, was busy showing the ropes on modelling and animating our creatures, with an exclusive sneak peek at what we are working on. Don’t worry if you missed it – more details will be coming in a few weeks’ time!

Game Updates

Our publishing projects are constantly receiving new updates, both for demos of upcoming titles and released content. Here are a couple of highlights we have for this month:

Green Again now has a reworked decoration system in its demo. Unlocked decorations will now be available across different maps in the same playthrough file. Though, certain decorations have to be unlocked on specific maps. You can see the full patch notes here.

Strange Seed‘s demo received new content throughout April and May. The gliding function has been added to the game, and players can soar through the skies as long as they have the right body parts equipped. In addition, players looking to challenge bosses with different builds can now resurrect certain defeated enemies at a price. You can find out more about the updates in our blog post!

That’s all we have for this blog post! More content for our titles is in the works and we cannot wait to show you what is next to come. Please look forward to more exciting news in the next monthly round-up.
